An advanced take-home whitening system, Pola Light delivers a fast-acting whitening formula in a portable mouthpiece using LED light technology.

In normal times, most patients would jump at the opportunity to receive fast and convenient in-office teeth whitening. But during COVID times, they may be more hesitant to schedule an appointment for cosmetic treatment. While over-the-counter whiten-ing solutions may seem like a safer alternative, higher concentrations of hydrogen peroxide can cause unwanted pain and sensitivity.

SDI POLA LightA Portable Solution for Whiter Smiles

A best-of-both-worlds solution, SDI’s new Pola Light is an advanced at-home whitening system formulated with a high water content and unique blend of soothers and conditioners that work together to reduce sensitivity during whitening treatment. Dr. Miles Cone, a prosthodontist who practices in Portland, ME, is happy to offer his patients a portable solution to their whitening needs.

“No one wants to sit in a dental office and wait for whitening treatment right now,” he shared. “Now, patients order Pola Light from our office and we bring the system out to their car. They can go home and whiten without the risk of person-to-person contact.”

The Right Formula for Every Patient

Offering a 5-day treatment routine, Pola Light can be used twice a day for either 10 or 15 minutes, depending on the concentration of hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide. Along with its unique hydrating formula, the whitening gel is formulated to remineralize teeth while safely removing long-term stains.

The portable, rechargeable Pola LED mouthpiece is easy to wear and can be filled with either Pola Day or Pola Night whitening gel. Dr. Cone appreciates that different concentrations are available, which allows him to prescribe treatments that are tailored to each patient’s whitening needs and sensitivity concerns.

“Most dental offices distribute whitening gel with 37% hydrogen peroxide, but this concentration can be too intense for some patients,” Dr. Cone pointed out. “With Pola Light, you can opt for less intensity if needed. Pola Light is super safe, doesn’t burn the gums, and produces the whitest natural shade over time. Best of all, patients can whiten from the comfort of their own homes.”
